The first reading from today's daily Mass is from the First Letter of St. Peter. The passage from Chapter 5 contained this thought-provoking quote:"Beloved: Clothe yourselves in humility in your dealings with one another, for:
God opposes the proud
but bestows favor on the humble.
So humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exult you in due time. Cast all of your worries upon him because he cares for you."
