This morning, it was announced in Rome that Archbishop Timothy Dolan of Milwaukee has been named the new archbishop of New York.On April 15, Archbishop Dolan will take the helm from Cardinal Edward Egan, who will retire shortly after his 77th birthday. It will be the first time a cardinal-archbishop of New York has retired -- all of the previous archbishops died while serving.
