Raised in Canton Township
Saturday morning, we returned to the junior market livestock sale at the Washington County Fair where the members of 4-H and FFA were selling steers, hogs and lambs. After bidding on several other hogs, I finally placed the winning bid on the one pictured above. The hog (weighing in at 267 pounds) was raised on a farm in Canton Township by Jeffrey Eidens (also pictured), who will be a senior this year at Trinity Area High School. As we did Friday, we donated the hog back to be reauctioned to benefit the 4-H Scholarship Fund.
