
Saturday morning, we returned to the
junior market livestock sale at the
Washington County Fair where the members of
4-H and
FFA were selling steers, hogs and lambs. After bidding on several other hogs, I finally placed the winning bid on the one pictured above. The hog (weighing in at 267 pounds) was raised on a farm in
Canton Township by Jeffrey Eidens (also pictured), who will be a senior this year at
Trinity Area High School. As we did Friday, we donated the hog back to be reauctioned to benefit the
4-H Scholarship Fund.
