I find myself increasingly frustrated by the debate surrounding the proposals to reform the American health care system.
I am frustrated for two reasons. First, I am frustrated because I am having trouble deciding where I stand on the issue. (Although, I recently found the USCCB site on health care reform to be helpful.)
Second, I am frustrated by the nasty tenor of the debate.

Thank you for this. I agree with you completely.
While I found that woman who was addressing Frank completely out of line, I was not happy with his response either. It all just ratchets up the angry rhetoric.
Facts seem to be of very little use to many in this debate.
I left a VERY shrill comment at Deacon Greg's. If there is anything that makes me ill it is the use of the word Nazi. Such terminology derails meaningful conversation, meaningful conversation which impacts actual conversion or transformation.
God help us all.

I agree with both of your frustrations. Everyone seems to be too busy slinging mud to just say what is actually being proposed and make logical arguments for/against it. I feel like anything would be better than the healthcare system we are dealing with now, but jeesh, I'll be darned if I can figure out exactly what is being proposed or why people hate it so much.
