This evening, while I was on the elliptical at the gym, I watched PBS' "Washington Week" with Gwen Ifill. The entire program was dedicated to questions on health care reform.

I think that the health care debate is a huge challenge from all directions.
My guiding principle on this is life - by that I mean life at all ages and stages.
That is the rub - there is far more ambiguity than clarity. Can we be against abortion and not have concern for the uninsured and the underinsured? (of which I am the latter)
How can we separate truth from propaganda, a most difficult task for the diligent and almost impossible for most?
We can't have alleged death panels and abortion at one end of the spectrum and ignore everything else.
I won't even discuss the alleged death panels - pure propaganda at the moment.
I will say we can't ignore abortion either.
We are basically screwed no matter what.
*sigh*
I am so not one to play the hopeless card, but boy does it feel that way.
