His apartment is truly around the corner from the store. I had no idea what had happened when I walked out of the store after work, but there were all these TV camera vans parked on Crosby, and when I turned onto Broome there were more, along with a crowd of people. It was kind of disturbing, actually, all these people waiting on the street outside his loft to see them take out the body. It was creepy.
