Two Centuries in Print

My one-time employer of fond memory, the Observer-Reporter of Washington, PA, celebrated its 200th anniversary yesterday.

It was on August 15, 1808, that the first edition of The Washington Reporter "was printed on a hand press in the cellar of a tavern in Washington, Pennsylvania, then just a village of a thousand souls on the edge of the American frontier."

If you have QuickTime, go here for a slideshow of historic O-R photos.

Congrats to everyone at the O-R and in WashPA on this special bicentennial!
