Humidity Woes for Trinity Schools

On Thursday evening, we attended a meeting of the Trinity Area School District's Board of Education. Of the four townships that make up the school district, only Canton Township is in the 46th Legislative District. But, as I go to door-to-door in Canton, voters there often ask me questions about the local schools -- so I was eager to attend one of the Trinity school board meetings and learn more about the school district's current projects.

As was the case everywhere in the Northeast last week, the major topic of discussion was the unbearable humidity. Specifically, the school board discussed the havoc the increased humidity has caused for the HVAC systems in two of the district's elementary schools. It looks like it may cost many hundreds of thousands of dollars to fix this problem.

John Richards has a report from the meeting in yesterday's O-R.
